Sugar production requires gentle juice processing and efficient energy use, making the EVAPlus plate falling-film evaporator a strong solution. EVAPlus technology concentrates sugar-cane and sugar-beet syrups efficiently and can increase the capacity of existing Robert-type evaporators. The retrofit requires no structural changes to the plant or building: the Robert evaporator tube sheets and tubes are removed and replaced with an EVAPlus plate pack, significantly increasing heating surface and efficiency at low cost.
